Dear parents,
Parent teacher conference will be held this Tuesday. This will be on a first come first basis. However, if there is a need to schedule a specific time, please contact me. This should not be a problem. I will place chairs outside the classroom to sit. I will have the door closed during each conference. I will ensure that meetings are in depth and do not Greetings! These past few weeks, 4C students had an opportunity to research a career and a college that would suit their academic and life interest. In doing so, our students embarked on a journey through the writing process. In addition to many students typing their final draft, 4C students had a chance to create a career and university collage using an Apple iPad application. Student work can be seen on our Principal's Writing Wall. Hope you all enjoy this slideshow of our showcasing our future. Dear Parents,
This week has started with a lot of momentum. We are finishing up our unit on poetry and are learning the states of matter in science, how to calculate area and multiply 2 digit numbers using arrays in math. This is also Constitution week and Hispanic Heritage month also. Please encourage our kids to know their Hispanic Heritage and the importance of the US Constitution, particularly the Bill of Rights. Please feel free to contact me via email or schedule an appointment during my conference (9-9:45AM) Tuesday through Friday. Mr. Saldana Dear Parents,
I am sending home a student folder as a communication tool. In the folder, you will find a nightly homework calender, a reading log, and the occasional exam. The reading log and homework calender should be signed nightly. Please communicate me through this tool. Working together, our students will achieve every thing they strive to be. Thank you, Raul Saldana Greetings,
The first week of school has been fantastic. Every student has shown their eagerness to learn all the new content and technology. This week we've had a chance to have a web conference with another 4th grade class from Hughey Elementary. We exchanged turns reading aloud poems and showcasing math processes. Clardy Parents, Please ensure that you are checking with your child every day that they are completing their homework. Please monitor your student notebooks have a date and a page number. Remember that all writing should be complete and written neatly. Welcome to this class website. You will have access to homework, class reminders, student homework and resources, all on through this site. Please take some time to look at all the great resources on this site.
Let's have a great year, Mr. Saldana |
